Gili Air Island

I’m back to Brussels after wonderful holidays in Bali.
After about a 19h journey, I took a boat to go to Gili Air, a small island where there are no cars, only carioles and bicycles. A dream!
We hesitated a little bit between the three islands and finally, I was very happy of our choice.
Gili Air is not crowed (like GiliT and its crazy parties) but is not completely desert like Gili Meno (best for honeymoons).
So, Gili Air was a perfect deal!
In Gili Air, I loved amongst others, the Biba Beach Café, which makes the best pizzas of the island (tested and approved more than once :p) and Scallywags, also with an amazing view on the sea.
During my trip, I discovered the Mie Goreng (more or less tasty depending of the restaurant :p) and enjoyed the delicious curries!
What I like also in Bali, is that you can always have all the dishes also in vegetarian version. You can add tofu, tempe, etc. (thing almost impossible in Belgium!).
The fresh juices, the smoothies, coconuts are everywhere. Their cuisine is very healthy and made of excellent products. Perfect to get a good dose of vitamins!
In Bali, the landscapes are very green, the vegetation is luxuriant and the sunsets are breathless.
What a bless to make pictures in such places, you don’t have to search during hours to find a beautiful background 🙂
Bali is also adventure: One day, a calf was standing in front of our bungalow, staring at us with his big eyes. So cute! Another day, a big 1meter lezard was walking around in the garden. Less cute! :p
During these days in Gili Air, I did some snorkeling. There were a lot of colorful fishes.
I was just a little bit disappointened I didn’t see any turtles (but very happy to not meet a SHARK!!!).
Just before leaving for Bali, I had the chance to receive a swimsuit of my choice from Zalando. It wasn’t easy to choose, because they have so many beautiful beachwear, as you can see here. I had a crush for this one piece Moschino swimsuit, white, with flamingos, very trendy and girly. Totally my style!
This swimsuit was perfect for snorkeling.

In my suitcase, I also putted my pink Alain Afflelou sunglasses I received some months ago and the Orelia jewel I already talked you about in previous posts.
I also took my new Sweet Lemon sandals I received at their store opening in Antwerp. Very easy to were and so stylish, gonna wear them all summer long (plus, … it makes your legs longer!).
Ulu Watu was the second destination of my travel in Bali, soon on the blog!
PS: I was super happy I came back just on time to meet my first niece, who was born when I was in the flight back 😀 Long and beautiful life to this cute princess <3 <3 <3
